Long story short. Baught a jzz30 Soarer gearbox was playing funny buggers since day 1. Had a look under the car and found out it was running an a340 from a 7m ( no front speed sensor) I have been trying to find info to weather I can get this gearbox to work good with either fitting a supra stick, shiftkit etc?
If there's no chance is it possible a jzx100 auto will work? ( mates got one in his shed)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as only reason I'd like to keep this box it had receipts for a rebuild

The supra stick is designed for transmissions with two shift solenoids (plus a lockup solenoid) and that is the case for the A340 transmissions so yes it should work. I found an article indicating the setup for the suprastick version 4 for the 7MGTE.

Alternatively, is the required second speed sensor on the extension housing and can that be exchanged (with the correct housing) to allow the factory ECU to control it?

Find the correct box and fit it to the car
No other ecu or aftermarket unit will work as good as the std setup
