Ladies and Gentlemen,
Its that time of the year again when we as a group get to show off our massive love of Toyota's to the rest of the ACT (And Australia) at the Annual Marques in the Park car show extravaganza.
We are meeting a little closer to the venue this time so we don't get broken up by traffic again.
Don't forget to pack a comfy chair and some headware to protect you from the wonderful early summer heat and remember that we don't mind what condition your car is and nobody else does either so join us for a great day out in the sun with a bunch of like minded people.
The CCG will not be running the BBQ this year however we will have plenty of cold cans of drink and water for people to purchase to keep themselves hydrated.
If your planning on coming down please contact us (Email, Facebook, Toymods, SMS etc) and I'll add you to our confirmed entrant list (don't worry its free entry) so we have a rough idea of how many are coming.
Attending.
1. Eric - Blue RA23 Celica.
2. Jezz - Something...
3. Ryan - To be decided.
4.
5.

Seems a bit stoopid that with the fuck all events we have in canberra, they make it the same day as the hillclimb.....
CURRENT CARS: AE86-SR20DET, MX22-2M, JZS147-2JZGTE, AE86-4AGE , AE71 Panelvan-4AGTE, Peugeot 504- XN1
hillclimb for me........ (in the AE71 wagon)
I might find someone else who can bring the SR86 along to Marques.....

Rusty you say?
Nah, rusty one is not registered.
But rattle can black one I should be able to do.
Unforeseen circumstances notwithstanding, ill be there.
Was really hoping to bring the adub back out for this, but engine is still in pieces and wallet is empty so no chance of it.
Also pity about the lack of BBQ, from what I saw everyone already knew the CCG BBQ would be there. I guess it does heavily distract the members from socialising though.

Yes lack of BBQ is a bit of a bastard but no choice due to some factors outside our control.
We will however have the shade tent and bench seating so everyone can get comfy and talk Toyota all day.
There are plenty of food options at the event so hopefully no one will go hungry.

That is the word yes.
If Marques in the park is discontinued it might be worthwhile starting an all Jap Day in Canberra.

All Jap day would be very cool. Would need to drag in some interstaters though, I don't think our population has enough to class it as a show......... particularly if the CCG's turnout of Toyota's is anything to go byLOL

Really ? I would have thought there was a rather large group of Jap cars in Canberra.
But by all means interstates would be more than welcome.
Something to discuss at the next Beer O'clock maybe.

Definitely worth discussing.
How many cool Jap cars do you see on the street each week Jezz? Unless they are all weekend queens perhaps (which I guess i'm partially guilty of also)
