6" centre fits in. ie KE30 etc just swap the whole pumpkin.
axle diameter and splines are same.
    KE20/30 axles are longer.

no rust in the roof or around screens = good. everything else can be fixed/replaced/custom made

in short, KE15 is not really a "thrifty" car to work on.
KE55 is far more cost effective

Thanks for all you help. I had been eyeing off the different contour of the rear with some trepidation.

You should have seen what it was like "back in the day" before trendy wankers discovered that it was cool to be seen in a Valiant on Sunday in Sk Kilda. NOBODY made parts for the rusty beasts.

But then people got a whiff of that sweet soy latte money and now you can get things as quick as a 10yo Chinese kid can yell "smoko!"

I guess I will see what I can get in the way of a celica. I did like my TA-22. Or maybe a KE70. Or.. even an Avante.

Nothing says COG like this though...

That galant sounds perfect for you. Go buy that.

There is a part of me that would love driving around in the Galant with a CIG locker. But after having a pretty mild S14 series 2 200SX with a completely sleeper look and 170kw atw and 390 odd Nm, I realised I never need that power on the streets. I am now looking at that very clean White 1980 RT132 Corona Liftback. Is there a quick headjob and updated carbie(s) or fuel injection?

Lol. Nissan is the poo. Compete sleeper look and only 170kw. You mean it was completely stock?

Ok now back to you upgrading to a 1980s corona. Rt132 has an 18rc iirc, so jump on ebay buy a Werner and adapter ad some extractors. Done. Or put in your beams as along side the rt132 they made an st132 so you go get an engine crossmember and bolt in the 3sge.

Hey lilcrash thanks for the feedback. I think I am getting somewhere with your help. Here are two R132s that are in contention.

I am also giving serious consideration to a T140 onwards. Preferably a Grandpa spec with air and auto. I have been told the Avante has IRS so most a have probably been snapped up. What is a Werner and with the 18R-C does the iirc stand for?

    Here is a cheap weapon......lol

Sorry didn't check my spelling. Was supposed to be WEBER. Iirc is if I remember correctly. The later rt chassis had the 21r and 22r, you can use the injection from a celica if you get one of those.

The blue corona in Qld looks like an ok car, just remember our mods plates are different to yours down there.

Which corona, the $1500 or $4500?
I have had a few mates who have transferred the mod plates at our registration centres no questions asked.
