may be the way to go Justin
it was suggested to me that the main events committee take over organisation of the clubs 6 hour entry
but nothing more has been mentioned to me on that front
as I stated my spare bank account is available for entries but that is as far as my involvement with the other teams organisation will be

Got in touch with everyone last night and they are all keen to go again.
Do you know when the supp regs and entry forms are coming out?

they came out in June last year Justin
so I would start getting committment from every body
wouldn't hurt to get a deposit at least from them
I am guessing the entry will be about $1800 per team
last year I added and extra fee for catering
but that can be decided by the organisers

Hi guys,
I thought I would just post this here for those that were interested.
TCCAV will once again be aiming to enter two teams flying under the TCCAV banner and as such will be holding a meeting on Tuesday the 9th of April at 7pm prior to the general meeting to begin to organize entries as well as give some information about the event. If you are interested in competing or volunteering you are encouraged to come along.
If you are interested in competing/volunteering but are unable to make it to the meeting please send an email to [email protected] with 'Winton 6hr' in the subject line.

Thanks for the organising Brendan. Do we need to stump up funds / deposit on the night to guarantee a spot?

so does this mean my bank account will not be needed ?
if this is the case it would be nice to be told
and by the way there were 3 teams running under TCCA last year
The older I get The better I was
Sorry Van, I didn't mean to offend anyone I havn't really been following this thread. No your bank account will not be needed.
I am aware that three teams ran under TCCAV last year but I was under the impression that you wanted to run Grumpy separately this year and didn't want confuse people to the amount of teams that TCCAV were running this year.
Once again sorry if I have caused any offence.
Brendan.

As much as it pains me to say this and I WILL be kicking myself for the next 6 months but I won't be doing the 6Hr this year. An impending arrival of a 2nd child and everything else on the go doesn't leave much room for indulgences such as motorsport at this point in time. I was sure I would be running this year but upon hearing that the team was almost already fully booked I weighed up the current and future scenarios and have to dip out.
I'm sure most or all of the team will be veterans of 6Hrs so no need to tell them how much fun it is and believe me I will be back next year!![]()

congratulations and comiserations Graeme
but as you said family committments come before motor sport
but some do say the 6 hour is better than sex

Van

who are then entrants so far?
The older I get The better I was
Thanks Van. I have no idea on the entrants as I missed last nights meeting but was told people had their cash down already. Definitely sad that I will miss it but there is always next year.
....and yes the 6Hr lasts longer, is usually hot and sweaty and it feels good when it is all over but hey I would prefer to do it more than just once a year!.
