WARNING: Use gasket goo in moderation!![]()
Is there a breather for the diff somewhere?
maybe the diff was overfilled and oil is coming out the breather?
i dunno otherwise, looks like a strange place to leak from..
1UZ-FE cressida :-)
Crikey, that's actually pretty clean for a bogwarmer diff, you should be impressed with the LACK of oil leaks!
Drain the oil, clean everything up, use good quality gasket goo, refill, and be amazed that it can still leak - something about Australian made things have a need to leak (gearboxes, diffs, autos, engines, steering racks/boxes, even driveshafts and hub bearings!)
trent i'd say the seal on the back is probably weeping towards that top left hand corner
mate go to supercheap - get 2 cans of $2 degreaser. coat thoroughly.
leave for 5 mins
karcher/pressure wash clean.
let it dry. then drive for a couple of days and see if the edge of the seal is weeping.
Ive got a Borgy in my corona and its as clean as it was when it rolled of the factory floor.
Cheers Brett.

Drain or check that oil level is correct!, it will spew oil out breather if level is too high.
And with the rear diff cover just remove it clean it dont use a gasket, dont make a dodgy gasket, get some silicon based gasket maker, like rhodomaster or wurth silicon 250.
Dont want scarpy looking gaskets protruding out from around the cover!
Im just a little lostbut ill be fine!
