MX83 Track width and ride height from the factory?

Hi folks,

I am just wondering if anyone has a standard MX83 that would be willing to measure the front and rear track width and the front and rear standard ride height of their car? I have searched to no avail. I require this information for modification aproval paperwork.

I probablly should have mentioned that I have found those common "specification" sheets however there is a lot of variety in the figures(eg the height varies by 40mm depending on which site you go to). These sites state(as quoted above) that track is 1455 but my track is 1735 - I cant see how this figure could vary by 280mm by simply adding an extra inch of wheel width (50mm=/- Overall) plus say 100mm of camber(at an exageratted guess).

This excessive difference lead me to ask about the track width whilst I had a thread going about ride height.

Infact the camber wouldnt add squat all because this is set at the strut top, and the pivot point is low enough to avoid any substancial track gain...?

Track is measured from the centre of the tyre, not the outside which 1735 would be similar to the stock width at 1710.

And camber isnt measured by mm so not sure what 100mm references but if there is 100mm difference between top and bottom then your car would look like this.



And what are you using as a base for the ride height as I have measurements for my car.

Ah yes thats better, 1505mm+/- centre to centre of tyres. Thats at aprox 2 degrees camber from memory. I only used 100mm of camber as a figure of speach to try and justify the 280mm difference I was seeing. It was more relivant to the discussion in my eyes, of track width in mm, however you have cleared this up for me. Cheers!

I was using guard lip/edge to hub centre as a ride height measurement, 350mm at the front and 325mm at the rear.
