lets just say 'the owner' had a turbo dump with no bolts so boost was coming on 4200rpm+ bogging is apparent on the handbrake entry when foot is planted and nothing happens.... ofcourse i just know all this from observation and nothing more.

Hey all, this is Nye (new username)

Guys and gals of the 86 adventure,

After my 4AC's first struggles barely outside of Sydney, the only things running through my mind were 'holy shit! this is forked! my little splintah aint gonna make it!' I was all ready to just tell you guys to go on without me, I was so embarrased. Then Shane and Garth and Andrew and everyone else started turning cogs and spinning wheels in their heads working out what the problem might be. And Huzzah! it was magically solved! the fuel filter was removed, then replaced and I made it to melbourne.

If it weren't for you guys I would have been stuck outside of Goulburn with nothing but my mobile phone to help me solve the problem. Again, I can't thank all of you enough. Had awesome fun on the winding roads and the mountain. The actual drift events at calder I found to be a big let-down. I didn't like the circuit or a majority of the cars. But everything else was soooo much fun it made up for it. Even though I knew nobody going into this thing, and was a little worried how well I would be recieved, I felt like I had known everyone for ages after just the first day. I was well looked after all the time. CHAMPIONS!!

Andrew, MENDOZAAAAAAA! Next year your not allowed to spoon me. I have enough trouble with my gf's jealousy issues as it is without you telling the world how candy my ass is. but seriously keep it real yo!

You should have seen the bloody sludge-oil that came out of my petrol tank. 4ac's goin good as gold now. I almost don't wanna turf it when i get my gze! seems like a waste... Anyway, what all the other guys say about you, it aint true, your a top bloke, I don't believe a word they say.... love your car!

Nah, I think that was Ben... There was actually some discussion on the old forums recently about that pic, and a few said it was just a wank. I think Leigh's car proved otherwise.

As for the track day next year, the idea of Winton was thrown up because it is more central for everyone, from Adelaide to Brisbane.
As we know, a lot of AE86ers seem to be a bit lazy, so we've gotta make it attractive to all.
Anyway, the chad and I are already onto certain aspects of it such as pricing, insurance etc, and once again, this will be covered in Drift Battle

haha well i had to gloat, its not often that im right when it comes to fixing the car, im usually breaking them.. oops! ^_^

the alty is all fixed, big props from ben at bel garage for the lend till i get mine reconditioned.

did you flush your tank a few times with some cheap petrol? might be a good idea after the look of the shit you had in the filters (8 in total?)

trust me man, the 4ac will seem like a boat anchor once you get a GZE in. if your thinking about keeping it for a little while, upgrade the brakes then LSD and then suspension/wheels and then see if your sick of it

Excellent! ae86 makes for good interesting reading. There's nothing worse than staring at 500 datsuns with little to no toyota/mazda/whatever else coverage. Drift Battle is doing a great job and I buy every issue. Keep up the good work. What issue is the 86 annual going to be covered in? I await with baited breath

Unfortunately it couldn't be squeezed into the March issue (what we are working on now), so it will have to wait for May!
