    Default Hilux instrument cluster

Hi, can anyone tell me if an instrument cluster from a LN65 ( diesel ) hilux will swap into a YN 65 ( petrol) hilux.
my petrol hilux has no tacho and I have found a diesel one for sale and wondering if they change over and also if they are " plug and play "
My concerns are with the tacho, will the diesel one be the same as the petrol.
    Thanks.

You will need the petrol instrument cluster if you want the tacho to work. Diesels had a cable drive tacho and petrol is electronic. The instrument cluster out of a SR5 hilux or forerunner should have a tacho in the petrol models.

    I know with rn90 hiluxes
    When running a 1uz
4 cyl petrol tachos run fine
Diesel tachos run around 1/2 to a 1/3 that of petrol
So u need to multiply signal by a fair bit
