yes.
what makes you confident its 100% accurate?
what was the diameter of your wheels and what profile tyre are you using?
some quick calculations will sort it out
This looks like a good place to post some JDM Celica info.
Heres some scans from a brochure dated November 1970. This was basically a pre release brochure. Celicas were not available for delivery to purchasers until December 1970. The brochure does give a good idea of what buyers could expect, including the GT model.
Please excuse the quality of the scans. My scanner only takes A4 size. The brochure is slightly larger so some sections of pages have been cut off.

Hi,
Yes, these options were on the 73-75 JDM brochures I got. The pics show the coupes with these colour coded bumpers, so I don't know if it was across the range for all coupes (ie ET, LT, ST. GTV or GT), and it did not appear to be an option for the liftback - but I have yet to confirm if this indeed the case.

They were an option on ST and GT models only in this brochure.
JDM EPC shows them as available for TA20, TA22 and RA21 - ST and GT models only between 7012 and 7312.
Not listed for TA27 or RA25.
They were available for JDM slant nose hardtops only. There was a change in the range of colours available in 7208. To reflect a change in the body colours available from this date.

I’m using 165/75 R13's (oh yes, she's all original!) and I drive past one of those 5km Speedo check things every 2nd day. (I even tried deviating from all inner/outer lanes to see if that made a difference, it did, but only a miniscule amount). The last guy I bought it off was the 2nd owner, an older bloke who had only owned it for a year. The guy before him had owned it since brand new and is like 80 years old now. It had 66,000kms on the clock, which was claimed to be original. Even if it's clocked over once I'm still very happy with it, as the last few years of service history show it having driven 3000kms since 1999 to 2005 when I bought it. I’ve clocked 15000kms on it, and unfortunately 2 f**koff BIG kangaroo's. Luckily enough it was only aesthetic damage. I try to keep it in the best condition I can, still needs new panels/bonnet as their pretty dinged up but I have all the spares and am just waiting for the money to put it in for a full respray.Originally Posted by merc-blue
It has been reconditioned within the last 5 years, can see that the block has been acid dipped and all. Rev's out nice and smooth up to 6000rpm, although I never push it much past 3500rpm. Sits at 100kms/h on level ground at 3200rpm. Loves the downhill runs
BTW - ET model?!?!? 1400cc celica???? I believe it, but never heard of those models before.
Hi,
The ET was the ultra-pov pack Celica. It had the 1400cc T engine, but you could get the 1600cc 2T engine if you wanted in it. The interior was pretty basic also and the lowest end interior had no heater/fan - so it was very basic. However, like the engine, you could specify (to an extent) what interior you wanted. Toyota was very flexible with engine & interior options back in those days.Originally Posted by 75Ta22LT
I reckon the 1400cc ET Celica could possibly be one of the rarest.

Did Australia ever get ones with red interior? I've seen white, black and brown but nere red. Hahaha, the 8 track cassette. My TA22 had one of those when i bought it!
Here's some scans from the August 1972 brochure which covered minor changes to the various TA2# models (fuel tank filler location, rear lights and exterior/interior trim) and the introduction of the GTV.
Finally updated with the required pics
1971 2T-B Celica TA22 ST.
1973 2T-G Celica TA22, aka "The Unicorn".
1975 2T-G Celica TA27 GT
1976 2T-G Celica TA23, aka "The Colonel".
1985 3F Auto FJ62 Landcruiser
1989 7M-GTE MA70 Supra, aka "The Poopra"
History: Rods Classic Celica Sampler thread.
Red interiors were available in Australia. When I bought my TA 22 in Dec 1975 the only choices I had from the dealers were 2 x white ones with red interiors or a yellow one with black. I bought the yellow one and still have it.
