Soooo, get there early, come and see one of the Toymods Board Members (the guys in red shirts running around like headless chickens) and we'll see what we can organise.

Trophy presentation & raffle prizes are usually around 2.30pm.

    7 days to go..!!
So really must get there before 9am and we cant leave until say 3pm say if i had to leave at around 2pm is that a problem..?

bugger..... never realised the insurance was so prohibitive, always thought "static" just meant no cruising or driving events, not unable to move cars full stop. Damn the world with no common-sense....

Might be a change of plans to just park with the public and come over for a look/chat...

    1J,

As Dav mentioned, for insurance purposes, the Show has to be static. But, if someone does have to leave for any sort of emergency reason, they will need to be "escorted" out of the show area so spectators don't get run over.

As we won't know the number of entries until the day, and if the numbers are around last years numbers the driveways will be utilised for display areas, meaning that if a car needs to leave, unless we have been notified, cars may be physically blocked in and several cars would need to be moved. This won't be allowed.

If you do need to leave early, and have a genuine reason. you will need to advise the guys as you hand over your entry that you may need to leave early so we can locate you right near an exit in such a way that no other cars need to be moved. Also, before you leave you will need to find an official (in the red shirts) to escort the vehicle from the show area safely.

    Cheers

Yes there is a provision to leave early, but, guys don't abuse it.

For the Interstate guys comming up a day early and are looking for somewhere to wash and clean their cars, A few of us will be doing the final touches to our cars at the self serve car wash on Norwest Boulevard in behind the Shell Servo from around 6.00pm on Saturday. So if you have travelled to Sydney and need to get bugs off the front of your car, feel fee to drop in and use the Hi-pressure hoses/vaccuum etc and catch up with a few other entrants whilst polishing you cars.

    Cheers

Guys... I feel I need to make something clear. While we have the ability to move a car during the show, this is NOT a 'provision' that entrants should take into consideration. As Lambo said, it is only an option "should you be crazy enough to be at our show, when your wife is due to give birth" (ie: emergency type stuff). If you have other engagements later in the day, then you will have to wait till 3pm to leave. The last thing I want on our plate at 2pm is people needing to move because they have to be somewhere else. From about 1.30pm, we are all busy getting trophy results in, chasing up entrants choice votes, and organising the presentation for a 2.30pm start, to make sure we can be finished by 3pm, so we can all leave.

Also, from the venue's (Totally Home), side of things, they had arranged to make Sunday a family day at their centre with face painting, jumping castles etc. ToyotaFest is an added attraction for the day, so we are expecting more people traffic enjoying the show, and hence moving cars will be that much more difficult.

I do appreciate that people really want to be at the show, and we really want you to participate in the show, but unfortunately we can't entertain a 'leave early' option.
I realise we were late in the game, posting up an official thread and apologise profusely, but confirming a venue was, for lack of a better word, 'challenging' this year. The day and time of ToyotaFest will not change though.., Sunday of the October long weekend, from silly hours of the morning, till 3pm. Book it in early

If you're unable to make it this year, book in for 2013. That will be show No.10, and we are going to make it big!
