[QUOTE=jabbatron;1479177 Im thinking of doing exactly this! Cut the body off the subaru, cut the floor out of the toyota (Celica preferably), shorten the soobie chassis and mash them together for some track fun .[/QUOTE]

what a top price! I just sold my 97 WRX for $9800, admittedly it wasn't a write off tho

    keep us posted yeah?

]So I rang David Peeble's automotive Engineering Services in Cardiff (Newcastle) and spoke with Dave.
He basically said AWD is possible and knew of Jaffa's car. He did say that it does become very tricky (legally) once all the work goes into, going through emissions keeping to ADR's for the TA22 and what ever other parts are put into it. He said the best way to do it is indeed make a call on leaving it RWD or AWD and from there he can look into the ins and outs. Was a great bloke. $500 a pop for a consultation... He did mention if we went AWD it would be an ICV and it's cost $4000 and upwards in fees alone. I think I am going to leave it RWD. Thanks for all the help and thoughts along the way everyone. I guess the next thing to do is find the car and start a build thread.

I do have some modifications to the corolla in mind first though, might fix the leaky boot...

BTW the link for the list of engineers can be found here --> http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registrati...ulletin_01.pdf at least for nsw
