    JoJo,

This isnt the place for the Anti Shannons comments. Having been with them for over a decade I have never had anything but fantastic support and service from them including when I have claimed.

So whatever your experience with them here isn't the place. This thread is for discussion on the event which wasn't run by Shannons anyway.

^^ Mate. So toymods now has censorship? You cant be serious!

This club forum is for discussion of all things toyota. If I want to let people know about shitty companys, I WILL. People should know about shannons and how they are when it comes time to claim.

This is a ACT section. I know everyone here. Some will judge me, some will not. I dont care. So, I am saying this in discussion to people I know.

Very dissapointed you are running a biased forum now....

    thanks for the shots Jezz.

Im keen to keep the shannons talk out of it.

    I had a great day,

I was disappointed with the turn out for the show n shine. The cars there where fantastic and I had a good chat to the owner of the sprinter and the the guy with the neat as R31 two door.

I was really surprised with the number of spectators. Considering the weather there was a great turn out.

On that note I didn't see or hear of any advertising in Canberra for the event, maybe this could be better next year.

I would of liked to have been a bit closer to the runway, the fence could of been a little closer and there still would of been a natural dip in the ground that would of caught cars.

I think for next years event you may need some more food vendors as with more people they will be busy as.

The 5pm SNS finish was a bit of a turn off for me, I still entered and showed the car however snuck out a little early

The quailty of cars racing was awesome, and Im sure with the experience of this year under your belts next year will flow alot better.

‎36Hrs since the end of the Shannons Insurance Snowy Mountains 1000. What have we learnt :

    1) the start area was garbage. This we know. It will be fixed for next year. We did have plenty positive comments that least we were out there with a broom trying to improve it the situation, rather than just leave and do nothing like others.

    2) spectators were to for away. It was s safety 1st approach this year, and we will be reviewing the distsnce and moving much closer

    3) tv screen. This was very well received. This was put in place after suggestions from competitors at an event i organised in 2011. With some fine tuning and new software being written, it will be much better utilised next year.

It is unfortunate that there are some people out there, who didn't even attend the event, telling the whole world and other event organisers how terrible it was. Unfortunately you can't press the delete button for keyboard warriors.

I am very proud of what we achieved as an event at Cooma this year. All the things that need fixing (as above) can and will be fixed. I believe that is what sets us apart from similar events, is that we have listened last year and this year to the issues and fixed them, rather than ignore them and have the same issues 2 issues in a row.

With all the positive messages and phone calls we have received, and with the issues from this year being fixed, and actually listening o ALL the feedback, 2013 will be awesome.

    SEE YA THERE!!!
Sounds like they will address the two main issues.

Personally I would have liked some toilets closer to the spectator area and the score board moved so you could see it from the viewing area.

Otherwise as above I thought it was a great event and would really love to be a competitor next year.
Bottom line: Life's too short, drive something you love.

Hardly a "keyboard Warrior"..... Just tellin it how it is......

Havent abused anyone, made personal attacks, or said that I am better than anyone else. Just sharing legit feedback with others..... That now seems to be a crime on Toymods????

Anyway, I will leave it now. I seem to be upsetting people......
