    Default I need help with some electronic problem with A340Le

    I have strange thing on my gearbox A340le i use the Aristo loom and now i have Aem standalone in my car. But now i have really strange things. When i put in second gear it will go to gear 3 and that should not work? Or how can it? Shall it not just stay in second gear.

    The stranger thing is that when i put in D it will go to gear 4 and when i put back in to second gear on the gearbox then it go to third gear. And that i seen in the computer when i had plugged in.

    And one gear i don't have is 2. haha. And that i think is a problem because when the computer is sending the signal to the solenoid to open for 2 gear it don't get any thing to happen. It's like a neutral everytime it will try to get to second gear. And then it will go to 3 gear.

    So now i need some things.

    What color is the cable that sending from the Ecu to gearbox solenoids that help it go to 2 gear. I think the cable can have some problem but i need to now what one to look for. And what color is the one for OD ?

    So this is how it will bee on the car

    D = Like drive without 2 gear.
    2 = Third gear
    L = First gear

    Omg this was mutch but i need to get the cable color for the Aristo D,2,L and OD

    Firstly, check the shifter is correctly adjusted at the position selector switch (there are marks on the shifter selector to help)
    Wiring as follows:
    From plug E9 on ECU (80 pin)
    - pin 9 is number 2 solenoid (Red-Blue)
    - pin 10 is number 1 solenoid (Red-White)
    - pin 13 is number 4 solenoid (Yellow- Green)
    - pin 14 is number 3 solenoid (light green- Black)

    sounds like nothing is controlling the gbox

    does the aem stand alone ecu control the auto aswell

    when u put it in drive does it start of in 1st then go 2nd then 3rd

    if it doesnt go thru all the gears when u put it in drive then nothing is controlling the auto
    as the auto is half electronic and half hydraulic so if the electronics are not sorted
    then u will get similar symptons to what your explaining
    and its also common to gett hese problems when u go aftermarket ecu with no auto control

    It's a Aem for automatic so i think it should have controll the automatic. Because i can decide other things for the gearbox with this Aem

    Because do you put in drive then it starts in 1st and try to find 2and but go to 3rd intstead of 2nd. And at last it go to 4th.

    But i think i will first see so it given some power to the solenoids. If i see that one of them that don't get any power then i can try to see if it something wrong with the line.

    And is there a automatic computer some were in the car that can make this complikated for the car? Sendin one thing from Aem and another from this box?

    if the aem was a plug and play ecu for an auto it doesnt mean that it will control the gearbox... it just means the pins will be correct for an auto gearboxed car so it plugs in and controls the engine...

    the aristo gearbox has electronic line pressure control... if the auto ecu isnt controlling it properly say goodbye to the gearbox...

    you can test if the gearbox is receiving correct signals to the solenoids by unplugging the solenoid plug (however on the aristo box i believe its a 6 or 8 pin plug so you will need a pinout for this to find out which corresponds to solenoid 1 and solenoid 2) then with the ignition on:-

    - put the car in L and check if power goes to one solenoid and not the other.
    - put the car in 2 and check if power goes to both solenoids
    - put the car in D with over drive off and check power only goes to the opposite solenoid that it did in 1st
    - leave in D and turn overdrive off and check that there is no power to any solenoid.

    i recon it either doesnt control the box
    or he has a crapped out solenoid 2
    its easier to goto ecu and find the pins S1 and S2 and hook up a test light to each of those wires at same time
    then go for drive see if any are getting power

    is the aem to suit an aristo
    or to suit a supra
    as ive heard there might be afew wires different but i could be wrong without knowing all the details

    also where dont know what motor or model or year
    toyota have a million colours so u need to find the exact diagram to suit your motor and go from there

    Which Aristo loom do you use? Does the gearbox have line pressure cable attached to throttle body or is it fully electronic controlled?

    That's was a nice idea to try it on the pins on the Ecu.

    The Aem is for Supra don't think they made any Aem for Aristo.

    And the car motor i use is a 2jz-gte from a Aristo 93. So it's that diagram i need.

    The loom i use is from the Aristo 2jz-gte -93 year modell.

    Here is the cabel and i don't see the same color as what you told me Some of them but not all of them it's 7 cabels and the 2 bigger ones.

    the 2 bigger ones are park/neutral switch terminals. red+black (or red+blue) one is +12 input, the rest are position outputs.

    So this one don't go to the Solenoids for 1 and 2? And what's the name on this plugg? It's easier to read the diagram if i know witch one it is

    No this is selector position switch. That's immediately apparent from the 2 thick wires.

    There's a number of diagrams available, point to the particular one you're using. In general you should look at ECT pages and see 6-position switch with oututs marked as p,r,n,d,2,l . The park/neutral switch is usually depicted somewhere else, most likely on starting system page.

    Okay! Then i have to find the next plug. So i find the one with the solenoids
