    Default 18rg ignition timing/maps wanted

    Hi guys,

After gettin my new 18rg up and running i want to get some decent performance out of it so ive decided to update the outdated points driven ignition timing. So i've decided to replace it with a standalone electronic ignition kit, which requires me to manually a map to run the car.

So i was wondering if anyone had an ignition map for an 18rg engine that i could use as a start point or if anyone knows so of their timing points with the original distributor?
Im currently using weber carbs and my initial advance is up around 20degrees and i feel this is a bit high? any second opinions would be excellent on this

Jump into the tractor engin thread, I posted up my old ignition maps there I think.
You will need to lock the mechanical advance in the distributor though for this to work.

20' base advance is too much imo, should be around 10-12'.

Find those posts by me and you will get a good start point.
    ...... butt scratcher?!
