Default Can a 20v run an oil cooler?

I have read many posts on many forums and its pretty much even if a 20v can run an oil cooler. Some say no some say yes but is it actually able to be done as I am getting oil temp issues on the track after 15 to 18 laps of a 30 lap race. It is still running vvt, would I need to remove vvt for a cooler to be fitted so it does not effect operation?

16V factory oil cooler bolts right onto a 20V, so do aftermarket units.
I know because I have run both
