you can change the struts to ra23/28 they have bigger bearings and larger disc's
also the rim locator diameter is different , I think
i have b45,s and they fit the ra23 and 28 with no problem
Tried to fit a set of 15' B45 Simmons onto the Ta22 the other weekend and found that the center of the rim didn't fit over the hub. Has anyone come across this, if not, what's the easiest/cheapest way around it?

nostalgia is not what it used to be:
I'm guessing you mean that the dust cap on the hub is hitting up against the centre of the wheel rim? I had this with a set of Cheviot tri-spokes - solution was to hammer the dust caps a bit flatter - you can safely get them down around 5-8mm without rubbing on the axle end.
my 15" simmons fit but i have to take off the centre caps for them to fit, what offset are your rims mine were +20 and they were 8" wide
Sorry not the dust cap but the metal lip that it sits inside (pic is of rear but that's the lip I'm having dramas with).

The inside diameter of the rim seems to be 1-2mm smaller than the hub, tried to dremel away any rust/dirt but still didn't have much luck
Centre bore of the rim needs to be machine out. Take it to a half decent wheel shop and they can get the job done for you
Now is it all the wheels or just that one? I had the same drama on my ta22 when I went to ma61 wheels, turned out the spigot/ wheel locator had been squished in by who ever had done the wheels bearings in a press, I just filed away the flat spots and was all good
