Yeah im getting plenty of that too. Does anybody know if you get any rep from those ppl if their rep value goes up?? Cmon everyone, post up some informative stuff... and vote.

You can't see who left the rep unless you are a club member, and as for the votes I keep on getting postive feedback (about 6 times now) from ppl that have a rep value of nothing.

wagonist moderated a for sale thread with non constructive comments removed and then pinged me for saying how nice i thought it was
i say fair enough if the comments are "fuck that what a heap of shit, its only worth 200 bucks"
but now we cant compliment a car in a forsale thread saying how nice it is so the seller potentially gets more page views for said nice car and hopefully sells it?

ive viewed my repping in my CP User thingy and the ones that are grey obviously dont count becasue they havent got their rep/post count high enough to count towards your rep, BUT once thier rep is high enough does it go into action then, whether it be positive or negative? or are the null and void?
cheers
also probably wouldnt be a bad idea to set it up so when you post reputation you MUST write a comment or the form cant be submitted.
Hi,
That's a fine idea. I think that if we are too respect the reputation system, then it's fair that someone must justify their vote with some comment. It would be nice to see the reason why we got a +ve/-ve vote, and makes the commenter think about (and hopefully) put in a valid reason.Originally Posted by Dom-KE55
I know you can't stop the poontangs giving you a vote, accompanied by some dumb quip, but at least you can go back to them (or the mods) and get it sorted. At the moment you have no idea why you received the vote.

I brought this issue up before, and I also agree, also a negative rep vote isn't always that bad as you can then work out what you did wrong, but negative rep with no comment leads you to believe the person is just being an arse.

You just negative repped me straight back. I think this is a problem with the rep system. If I spout fundamentally incorrect shit and get flamed for it and corrected by someone with the correct info, then I'll cop it sweet. Vindictive negative repping to avenge bruised egos is just childish.
I expect you're going to say that I was vindictive in the way I posted my correction; I apologise if my humour was misunderstood.

It's funny how the club member's rep points are going up so much quicker than non club members too isn't it? Or is it just me?
**Note: Sentence "Or is it just me?" is actually a disclaimer, so if it is just me, I have less chance of having my solitary rep point taken away, perish the thought**
Hi,
Dunno about that. I'm only on 12 points, so it's not like I've gone into hyperdrive on getting points. Also, look at our handsome friend, Rona. He's on a slippery slope and he's a member.

I haven't moved an inch. Suppose that's not so bad hey Rona.I do still think it is a good system though, as long as it isn’t abused. And to be honest that relies heavily upon the users, us, the one giving and receiving the rep. You can see what has and hasn't been said in the comments and from the FAQ's page I noticed that you can't overdo the positives or the negatives on one person without at least 15 other rep points between same users. So forum users can’t concentrate there effort on one user if the like dislike them. I guess at the end of the day it will be monitored and adjusted accordingly with what does and doesn’t work.
