Default 1JZ VVTI Fuel Cut Defender

    Howdy all,

Am looking for a fuel cut defender to suit my JZX110.

I'm getting an Eboost Street out of a JZA70 Supra, so that shouldn't be a drama. Spoke to a tuner up here yesterday as I wanted to throw it on the dyno and make sure all was healthy and running well once this was installed. Apart from a full exhaust, the other requirement was the FCD.

I have searched HKS website, Sumo Power, gone through build threads and haven't been able to work out if the FCD for a non-vvti 1JZ will work on mine.

HKS/Sumo list ones for zz30 soarer and a70 supra, but before buying am trying to clarify and/or find an alternative. Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers!

Says first post and looks rude, my apologies. Have posted elsewhere but this is first one that has "counted" :S

Have found one from Turbosmart, looks generic and should suit. Any experience with this?

VVTi 1Js run AFM and no MAP sensor, whereas the twin turbo is the other way around, so I doubt one will work for the other. I've wound my VVTi 1J up to around 17psi with no cut, and the only info I've found is they can cut anywhere from 12-20psi depending on all other variables. See how you go with the eboost & chances are enough boost to hit cut will be too much for the turbo anyway.
