    Default A/C Clutch bearing Replacement

    G'day all,

Got an AC clutch/pulley bearing which needs replacement. It is whiney and the pulley has play. I've got the clutch/pulley itself out but it has these notches in it to hold the bearing in:

How do I go about replacing this bearing? Is it not DIY or do I need to get a whole new clutch/pulley?

    Cheers,
    Hash.

It will push out quite easily with a press. When you press the new one in peen it again

Use a Vice and fabricate a Few brackets and use a correct sized Pipe or other piece to act as a press.

You will have minor distortion so will need to shim the clutch correctly but what you need to check is that the nose of the compressor is not worn and if it is you are farting against thunder
