    Default What is that Rattling sound from my alternator ??

    Hey guys,
    Ive been getting rattling sound from my 4age alternator after snaping bolt for it, think something either came lose inside or screwed up even tho still works fine, just starts to rattle after i rev to about 4grand
    anyone had this problem ?

    which bolt snapped?

    check the mounting bolts of both the alt to mount and mount to block.

    pull it off and check all the bolts holding it together.

    check that the pulley ios on firmly, and when it spins, that it spins true

    I found out what it was, the bush in lower bolt is worn out, so it would keep moving around
