    Default JoJo's AE86 - Damage pics

I am sure you are all pretty keen to see the pics of my AE86. At first, it doesn't look too bad, but it's on closer inspection, the front of the car has opened up like a tin can.......

    Here you go.....

the luck of the Irish wasn't there that night.

Looks like engine/drive line is salvageable... Do you get to buy the wreck back???

Gezz Jo Jo that is a fair dinkum hit , lucky not to get hurt , full harnesses belts are a good thing .
My assessment is --- no way they will rebuild that !!!!!!!!!!! Have not seen damage like that for a while . Last time I saw that much separation was many years ago when I wrote off one of my rally Corollas after becoming airborne , leaving the road and landing on some logs. Trust me there will be more damage than what you can see now, when she is pulled apart . You would not want the car repaired and returned , she would never be the same again.

Couple of things to note from the photos ----- some early cancer in some very bad places.
---- oil pick up will be a bit sad ------ drive line parts will need a good looking at for damage .

    What a Bugger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bugger. I've spent enough time cursing at this car but gutted to see it wrecked. And it definitely looks FUBAR.

Hopefully sorted fairly quickly and you have something out racing soon. Guess I'll just have to set a target time for the new car.

Yeah, Todd, I plan to buy something again very soon, but I am going to buy something specifically suited to drift, rather than a grip/hillclimb car.... So I cant really say how competitive I will be at the hillclimb....

But in saying that, I will still bring out the blue AE86 when its done, to give you an old fashioned Toyota arse wooping! hahahahaha

Armco and rock had the win, 86 not so much. Bodge it up and sell it to some fully sick track day racer!

Car FUBAR, but how is JoJo? not too sore I hope.

    cheers Chuck.

I am fine chuck... I was wearing a 5 point harness at the time...... The standard belts wouldn't have been very good....... Went from 60kph to an instant stop...

    Hey Jojo,

Silly place for a rock, but thank goodness for it as the drop on the other side of the rail could have been a whole lot worse.

Well, you have a spare driveshaft now for your next project. (in joke)
