Front Suspension Work:
Hi everyone,
I bought this car about three years now, got it from a grandpa next door, so it was a neighbor price.
Was running as a daily to work. Then I bought a Soarer to build, and it never really look reasonable to be able to register for road.
So I took out the 1JZ and started the conversion.
Still under construction, looking to get it done before end of this month June. lot of work to do,
This thread will constantly updating, so yea keep in touch, more exciting things to come.
Before I strip:
Front Suspension Work:
Suspension Part 2 :
Friend of mine turn up while I was doing the front foot work conversion.......
Yup.....sleeper S14 SR20DET 18 PSI.......lock diff and basic suspension setup
Sideway out of the work shop =___=
Took the car back to my house again, because my mate's work shop ran out of space to keep my Corolla,
so yea he also helped me tow the car back,
took some glossy photos in my garage and from now on all the major work will take place in this tiny garage.
Yes lot of people I met, no matter at mooney, Golston Gorge, car meet, work shops,
Place where I service my car.....
they all went WTF when they saw what's under the bonnet, I think so far that's the most proud of things about my rolla
Goodbye 4AC I will let you rest in peace for now, I know we had so much fun together, but it's time to move on,
honestly speaking it's not a bad motor, I have no problem with this carby, easy to service, and tough as a rock,
I didn't have any drama with it, one of the best engine I love as well, did thought about Webber it and some other upgrade,
but too much money for a family orientated engine, better just leave it as it is
Started Stripping and chopping, looks like there's no turn back, all the way in,
Cut the tunnel to fit the gearbox
fuel tank removed
Looks good
thank you~ sorry just spitting out all the photos right now so yea more to come
Love the stripped look, doors are over ratted haha
Rear Suspension removed:
hello bouncy and goodbye
installing new heart into the car :
chopped off bonnet rail for easier engine fitment :
Took out the spare tyre space ready for custom fuel tank cell:
Playing around with the engine mounts. My mate and I came up with this idea that just fit the soarer crossmember on it, that way we don't have to do much mods on the car....but haha so far is only experimenting, please don't use it as a reference everyone.
went back to the original rolla crossmember, soarer crossmember didn't look very well to us
