    Default Making 18rc into 18rg

    The question I wanna ask is it easy 2 make 18rc in 2 18rg or fuel injected! What will I hav 2 do? Just a question!

    You can do it if you have the timing cover, timing parts, Head and oil drive gear the goes where the dizzy used to go on an 18R. Issue is you'll have shit compression ratio, due to having 18R pistons. Your better off sourcing a whole 18RG and chucking that in, they are a direct bolt it.

    hI,

    and as far as getting those parts individually, you'll find it a hell of a lot easier to buy a complete engine than you would in parts. About 500-1k will get you a running engine.

    As much as I know the 18R vs.18R-G cranks are just the same forged crank.If anyone have documents to prove that they are not same your welcome to show them.
    I stand behind that all the 18R cranks were same unless someone proves with 100% proof that there is some difference.
    Sure,during the years the part number may change but as many know that it may be some irrelevant modification to change the number so it is not good argument..
