Default Custom EFI setup opinions wanted

So i've got my 18rg all rebuilt with tuned (not 100%) 45mm webers. I will eventually be looking at converting the girl to EFI for the better fuel economy, better performance and turobing when im ready.

I've done a bit of research on EFI setups and with the 18r setups becoming more and more rare i was wondering on building my own. So i was looking for some guidance from those who have a lot of experience with fuel injection.
So i'd us the megasquirt setup for the ECU part. Then get the sensors from various vehicle and things. This part im pretty sure is the easy part (in comparison)

Now for the actual manifold and injectors

So lets say i grab an 18rg manifold of some sort, drill and tap some holes for 4 injectors (1 per cylinder), add a fuel rail, airbox to the back and throttle body.

What would be the opinions on this
Keep on mind i don't intend to be obtaining the parts for an EFI set up for a few months so just lookin for what people think on the viability of this system?

If you already have webers, then just look for efi throttle bodies to bolt to your weber manifold, not the cheapest option, but probably easier than stuffing around with custom stuff unless you have the skills.
Or just stay on the lookout for 18rg injection gear if you have the time/patience.

+1 on the EFI throttle bodies.

4A-GE 20v ITBs would be great for this.. Blacktops have 45mm ITBs, which is the same as your Weber carb. You're getting the TPS and injectors in one package. No need drilling holes for the injectors and with some luck, it might only need minimum mod to bolt to your Weber manifold.

Some would keep the stock distributor to send RPM signal to MS.. but i prefer using wasted spark ignition setup. Since it's possible to use a 36T bike chain gear and ignition pickup, all i need is a coilpack and Ford EDIS-4 module.

so i've had a look on the redline site and you can get the manifold, throttle body, injectors to bolt straight onto a twin weber manifold.
So with this all i would need would be the electrical system?
    megasquirt, sensors?

don't forget efi fuel pumps, high pressure fuel lines.. if you wanted the ignition to be MS controlled, locking the distributor and perhaps an igniter if your MS didn't come with the option.
