best diff for a ta22?

well my diff is on its way out, and im tryin to find out wat the strongest diff that can replace my current T series, i dont have a lot of money to play with and ill be doing the swap myself, so im wonderin what the strongest diff i can put in without going through to many hassles...

keep the T series and upgrade the centre. i take it that its the centre thats the problem.

there are a few different diffs that you could probably use, but they would require having the mounts cut off and re welded.

there is a thread at the moment that discusses the T and S series "debate."

what engine are you running and whats the power like? its not the power, its the way the car is driven!

there are plenty of options, but none are really cheap or easy. Best thing would be to fit a new T series centre or even replace it with a T series LSD.
It all depends on what your plans are, how much power etc etc.
If you have the 2TG then the T series should be fine, if you have a turbo etc then it could be a bigger job.
I'd say that if you think your stock brakes are ok then the T series is mor ethan good enough. I'd be fitting better brakes before worrying about the diff.

thanks simon, i might just find a good T series then, would it be better for me to find a second hand one or rebuild my current one? ATM its only got an annoying whine wen im crusing. Will the T series be able to handle a bit of a beating every now and then?

and ur website, well, that was inspiration to get myself a celica, some of the celicas on it are sooooo friggin sexy especially ur black one, thats pure sex, im hopin mine looks somehting like that in the end.

Glad you like my site. I think the T series will keep you gonig for a while.
ITs easiest to get a good second hand centre and fit it in.

What kills the centre is if you drop your clutch and let it take a sudden load. Go a bit easier and it will be fine.
Theres no guarantee but finding an original Celica from a wreckers that doesnt have mags or any mods is most likely gonna have a diff thats in pretty good nick.
