You haven't blown a turbo, if you had you would certainly know it as the power would be well down and you would hear the ceramic wheel rattling in the exhaust. Keep looking for a boost leak.
Recently, I flipped my intercooler core, as I originally had it on back to front.
This mornng however, I was driving the car and it felt as though I had lost power. There was some possible turbo whine, but I think it may have been air also. I am not sure. It was certainly different to the usual quiet sound.
The car still holds boost till 13PSI with no dropoff, which is what the boost controller has set it at. It simply takes longer to spool up I believe.
There was no white smoke out of the exhaust.
Has anyone experienced this before? My current theories are that this problem is either a boost leak from one of the silicone joiners/ clamps or one of the turbos are damaged. Im quite sure that flipping the intercooler core itself would not affect how it works.
I would have thought boost leaks would not hold full boost though, as whenever I have popped off a silicone joiner, I have 0 boost at all.
