Yay bom has updated the forecast for sunday to cloudy instead of rainy! I have some newish 595s fitted to rims anyway in case of rain, but hopefully will be able to give the slicks a decent run![]()

Depending how I feel on Sunday morning, i might come by for the short drive to WP to see you guys, rather than continuing on to Sydney for the cruise
If not, good luck to all!

Didnt get the hankooks very hot but they seemed good. All the people running them in the states seem to run them at 37-38psi, I had them at 32. Will try for higher temps on sunday.

I can't find a tyre shop that can actually fit my slicksI have two on and beaded up but 3 shops haven't been able to get the other two to bead up....not even the truck Beaurepaires joint in Fysh.
Sidewalls are too stiff and it's too cold to soften them up......anyone know a shop that do this regularly and may have more of a clue?
I'll bring them out to WP anyways and might be abl;e to get them fitted there?

Are you stretching them onto a wider rim or something, or the same rims they were on before? (assuming you are using a set of the same spec as prevoius)
Stick them in a commercial ovenOr get JoJo to fit them, dorifto style, with aerosol.
other than that, I have no serious suggestions![]()

Put mega psi in them then go for a drive on them. Handbrakies will help. I havent done this myself and wouldnt recommend it, but know people that use it as a technique to fit avon formula ford slicks.

They won't bead so can't get any psi in them.
Same rims, same size tyres but latest gen. Stiffer than previous and ave never had them fitted this time of year.

Well it sure as hell ain't gonna be any warmer in Gloomy Goulburn this Sunday![]()
Best of luck with it, hopefully the pro's at the track can get them to bead with their experience, one of the motorsport tyres trucks should be there surely......

Hopefully there's a truck there otherwise I'll give the top gear nth pole gas fill a try
Or maybe not. I've noticed this only seems to be done with steel wheels?

How did you guys and girls go at the super Sprint yesterday?
JoJo did you end up going drifting?
I had a cracker day. I won my class, Type 4 D, which basically consisted of stripped out race cars and dudes in fancy driving suits....happy with thatEven better, i was fastest outright
Well, except for a Radical, but hardly something that should be pitted against a tintop?
The only downside was a few niggly issues that stopped me getting as much time on the full slicks as i would have liked to get back in the groove. Hopefully i can have them sorted by tomoz as i'm back at WP again.

What times where you getting Justen.
No PB unfortunately, but i was down in the 1:07's the 1st session out on the slicks. There's an easy 1:06 in it with the current wheel alignment (not that i know what that is as it hasn't had one since being bolted to back together).
I need my tyre temp gauge to work to get an idea how i am place for neg camber. The front left ball joint is shagged and there a 1mm or so of play there which means toe in/out is all over the place. I'm not hurting the tyres so it must be close, just need to home in on the sweet spot for these slicks as there's lots of time to be found when you do.
