you will need someone with a mill and a rotating table/chuck/dividing head. Pretty much a machine shop or a well equiped sydney sider
Anyone know someone who can do this in Sydney?
I'm fitting the gearbox off a larger car for it's stronger gearset and LSD.
I've had the current flywheel redrilled to suit the larger pull clutch pressure plate because the flywheels are identical otherwise.
I've got this done & now I'm trying to find someone to rebalance it. Any suggestions?
But I suspect that somewhere that makes flywheels could do this work, I've just got no idea what to look for.

Now trying to find someone who can rebalance the flywheel.
Be very wary of this. If it is now out of balance, then the holes are not drilled true to the centre (unless you drilled through one of the original balancing points). Which means that the pressureplate will not run true to the flywheel. Which leads to all sorts of problems. Seriously...redrilling flywheels is bad unless you get it REALLY true before you start (and even then I'm not a fan)
brake shop?
There is no substitute for PUBIC inches
Never late in an x8
I don't know if it's out of balance or not, hence the need to get it checked.
The holes drilled in it are the 6 threaded holes + 3 dowel holes for the pressure plate.
The guy who did the work used a modified clutch aligning tool to do the work & measured it heaps of times.
And all of the new holes were aligned to miss the original balancing holes.
And I didn't want to get a custom flywheel done because this engine/gearbox combo will only be in for maybe 6 months until I can get all the stuff done to the engine that matches the gearbox, and can then use that original (factory) flywheel.
find a clutch supplier that does custom stuff they will have all the gear needed or know where to go try places like this

I've found out it's better to find a place that does Engine rebuilding stuff because they can balance cranks, etc, so are therefore more likely to have the equipment.
Got a place to try at Lidcombe that have so far offered a pretty good price over the phone
Will see what happens when I drop the goods off.
