taking off z20 door trim

hey guys i have been asked a few time how to take off the old soarer door trims casue some ppl cant find the hidden screws etc so finally i made a tutorial

start by winding down ur window which i believe makes it a bit easier to take it off

start off by gettin a flat screwdriver or sumthing to unclip the window controller section and pop that up like so...



then disconnect the plugs


next up at ur side mirror ther is a little triangular section
just unclip that(there r no screws)



next down at the rm rest there is a section to put ur fingers in.. there is a little carpeted bit at the bottom.. just pull that up and u will find 2 screws
unscrew that n take it out

next at the door handle there r 2 clips.. pop them out and u will find 2 screws
unscrew them and then slide the handle and the surround plastic bit upwards to take out
and you will find another 2 screws under that




next unscrew the gold screw covered buy a little plastic cover up under the triangular plastic piece


and now at the bottom of the door trim there are 3 screws


now u should be able 2 slide the whole door trim up and take out



there is a plug where the door light is.. u can unplug that if u want to take the trim fully away otherwiise just access wat u want with leaving it there

hm there is one flaw. HOW DO YOU UNDO THe lock trim with out fucking those little metal clips? Yeah solve that one or tell me where to get replacemnt little metal clips nice job by the way.

Are they the little u shaped ones with the speaders that lock into slots in the panel/door in question? If so, any toyota from the 80s (and possibly later) has heaps holding assorted plastic bits on in the interiors (MA61/RA65 for sure) Pickies time!

lol guilty i would hate to talk to you in person. With all your sms typing skills i wonder how you talk lol. ALso that doesnt make sence. How do you pull off the door trims without buggering the clips. Eventually the little metal tabs breake off.

And whatthe? yeah they are those little 'U' looking clips with tabs and shit mmmmmmmm.

You know there is no need to remove the "window controller" from your door either? Just simply unplug it after you've done all of the following steps.
