Default 1jz 3 wire alternator problems, even with new alt.

Hey all...so my car is wired up as simply as possible. Main battery power cable goes to big kill switch and on the switched side, a smaller cable goes to my 5 maxi fuse block and a large cable continues to the starter. I have no ignition switch as such so when the big key is turned, everything is live.
From the alternator, the large main power cable that bolts onto the side of the alt runs back to a 100 amp maxi fuse and is joined at the same fuse terminal by the small white 'voltage sense' wire and the yellow 'ignition' wire. The black/yellow charge light goes into a 12v globe socket which is on a 12v fused source (checked this to ensure it was working).

I had a problem at the last drift day where i was misfiring badly, checked alt and it wasnt charging. Pulled it apart and found the regulator had been rather hot and looked every bit of its 20 year age. Ordered a remanufactured alt from driftmotion in the states and installed, alternator was charging again. Good i thought. Did an autocross day at mt beauty speedway tapping the 7400rpm limiter all day without fault. Took the car to deni autocross a few weeks later and the car developed a misfire. Alternator isn't charging again. Have checked continuity in all wires with no problems, charge light isnt blown. Bypassed the 100 amp fuse by running a jumper lead from the 3 alternator wires (main, ignition and voltage sense) directly to the battery, no charge.

I cant explain this one, but my alternator light has NEVER worked. Even though the alternator is charging, the light has never lit up even when the engine is not running and the main switch is on. Might i need some kind of exciter diode?

Any ideas? Might my driving style of holding it on the limiter for a few minutes on end be part of the problem and ive cooked 2 alternators in a row?
My engine is also hard mounted using aluminium blocks where the round engine mounts used to be.

    Cheers, Troy.

And this one where i went from a bad misfire, to basically a dead cut out. Luckily in fact, because hitting a cone caused me to eat my bumper and dislodge an oil cooler fitting. In the distance of about 1 corner, i lost a litre of oil lol.

put a bigger pulley on it so it slows the alternator down
sometiems the constant hi rpms have major centrifical forces on the windings inside the alternator
i have had issues with remanufactured parts
they are sometiems not as good as originals
