JZX83 Cruise Control error?

Hi all,

Been having a strange issue lately with the cruise control in my JZX83. It works fine most of the time, but 3 times now it has just suddenly cut out at highway speed when kicking down to go up a hill.
For example, cruise set to 100, no issues when on a flat surface, but if you go down a hill, get to the bottom, then attempt to climb up the other side, the cruise control will shut off, flash the cruise light 5 times, then won't turn back on again until you turn the car off and back on.

Any ideas what it may be? Would it be something to do with the box kicking down and it coming on boost to climb the hill?

is it an MX83 with a 1j? what cruise controle are u using? i need a little more info...

JZX83 = MX83 + 1JZ.
Using factory cruise control just like 99% of others out there.

does it kick down into 1st gear when going up a hill
cruise is not meant to work in 1st gear by default

I don't think so.
Obviously with cruise activated, I have my foot off the throttle. When it disengages itself, it suddenly happens (basically as soon as it kicks down) and the throttle closes. When I get back on it, it does not continue in first gear.
When not using cruise and going up those same hills and holding the same speed, it does not kick down to first.

You need to install a one way valve on the vac line for the cruise control so it won't reed boost, or get the vacume from the air inlet before the turbo. The non boost side... I have heard of people doing this however I removed my cruise control off my X8 ad I never used it and wanted the space in the engine bay
