Exclamation 2012 - Sandown 6 Hour Regularity Relay

The Porsche Club of Victoria (PCV) is running a 6 Hour Regularity Relay at Sandown on February 25 & 26 2012.

Our entry is in as of this morning, Carly from PCV said that they have only received about 1/2 of the 42 entries they can accept as at this morning.

If you are interested, get a team together and enter, only $1200 per Team which makes it the cheapest around.

They couldn't get a run a Winton any more so they decided to run their own eh LOL

That wouldn't be much fun.. fast Porsches doing 260km/h on the back straight devouring Daihatsus doing 160km/h.. and then there is the ego/bravado/rule stretching of previous experiences..

Besides, its the same weekend as the All Japan show, and I think I would have more fun and feel more welcome there!

I must admit $200 per driver is well worth it but as Adam said i think the majority of our little cars would get eaten up by the Porsches. Not much fun spending as much time looking in your rearview as looking out your windscreen

Great weekend, great track, just the right amout of regulations, friendly people.

    We will be back

We finished 7th out of 23.

By far the best 6 Hour we have been to.

There were 2 or 3 fast Porches there, but it was the sort of track where you didn't notice it, one of our blokes in his Mazda was up amongst the quickest. If you don't like fast cars being around you then don't go on a race track.

I was never been a fan of Porsche drivers.

The weekend just gone was run and organised by the Porsche Club of Victoria (PCV) and all I can say about them is what a fantastic bunch of people.

We shared a shed with a PCV team and they were very down to earth easy going blokes on the whole, they had no idea what they were meant to be doing to win the event, but they were having a great time and having a real laugh with it.

We found the people from PCV were very accomodating and as I stated earlier no where near as anal as AROCA, a PCV team won, but they have done heaps of these events, a Triumph team came 2nd and a Commodore team came 3rd.

This was the first time they have opened up the event to people outside the club, so they were very happy with the turnout, they event in the past was a 4 hour and run on one day.

If they keep running the event like they did last weekend then it will grow, it is an awesome track, it was a really well run event, friendly people, heaps of room. There were 60 flaggies to make our life easier was well.

We will be back to their event, but we will not be going back to the AROCA.
