1JZ not starting

Hi guys, noob here.


I have a 1JZ in a KZJ78 Landcruiser, and it's no longer starting. I changed plugs and the left bank rocker cover gasket. After i tried to start it, and it wouldn't. It fires, and wants to start, but something is stopping it from actually running. It's like it fires on all cylinders, just decides not to continue running?

Sparky mate came over (15+ years of experience) and couldn't really diagnose the problem. There is no injector pulse. The engine check light/diagnostic doesn't work (not hooked up?)


I did some research and found the capacitors leak on the 1J ecu's, so i've sent my ecu away to get checked out and fixed. Could it also be crank angle sensor??

sparkys with 15 years experience have no fking idea on this type of shit hehehehe
if u changed left hand bank rocer cover gasket then u might have disturbed the cam sensors

where yr injectors are
theres one around the 3rd injector and one around the 5th 6th injector
the plugs break easily due to heat
u might have popped one off which is easily done if they r broken and your working in that area
