flush out your idle control valve
Hello can anyone one help me? I have a 1995 silver top which will not idle smoothly, it is low and rough, it starts ok sometimes cold or hot and other times it will take a good 5-10 seconds of cranking, I’ve tried another ecu, have sent it to the ducks nuts of engine management repairer, has a new intake cam pulley, valve timing is correct, it sounds as if the valve timing is out like too much over lap when idling, but it has .2mm inlet valve open and .6mm of exhaust valve open at TDC which is in spec I’ve been told, has good fuel pressure, injectors have been cleaned, have run out of ideas, also what are the tps specs, it has been checked but i want to be sure.
flush out your idle control valve
Oh yea thats been done too, forgot to mention. ive since hooked up a air\fuel ratio meter to exhaust, while cranking it very lean,, even after it starts with out touching throttle it will only just tick over for a while running very lean, only untill i rev it it will clear, run rich (being cold) then lean out to spot onn as it warms up, but still rough.
how about the airflow meter?
