Default AE82 Rear Suspension and pillow-joints

I used to own an Ae101 and the rear lateral arms are two different types. One is adjustable and will have pillowball mounts at the ends. The other had rubber bushings. To get a cheap handling upgrade you replaced the rubber one with another pillowball one. Having just picked up an Ae82 I was woundering if anyone knew if the same trick would work with it?

Also as a 2nd question, how much harsher at pillow joints over bushes and how fast would they wear out on a road/rally car?

AE82s don't have the same style arms as the AE101s, they have pressed steel arms with eccentric bolts for toe adjustment instead of the tie-rod and bushes that the 101s have.

Then what can i do to make the suspension a bit firmer? It has polly brushes installed by the previous owner.
