Good to see you are entered Steve. Have you had any shakedown passes on the new rims yet?

    Phil,
The tyres were scrubbing out on my guards, so for jambo and the nationals ill still be running the little 205s, on your old wheels though.

At the moment the guards are untouched, so they will easily fit in there with minimal mods, panel beater just hasn't had a chance to fit it in, as there is a couple of rust spots in the bottom sills too which require attention, and the paint will need repairing around the guards.

Car should go in the shop pretty much straight after dubbo though so should be all good definitely will all be sorted for qld jambo, and hopefully a few meets in between now and then.

it sure was fun. hypo23 went well but pitty about the way the final went. mate of mine that i went down with one. he blown a head gasget (1200 sedan ca18) on the first round so we played around with it and desided to try do a wheelstand and run a 10 to get the boot and not come back but he didnt get traction off the line and went 11.0 which put him into the next round. same thing kept happening but on the semi final pass he gave it abit and broke an axle on a solo pass so that put him into the final with hypo. the only thing we could do is dail in a high time and putt it down slowly as it was all over the shop. dailed a 16.99 and run a 17.06? which gave him the win. he felt abit bad but i guess thats racing. he gave it ago and payed off. hypo was a good sport and which was good to see. should be more guys like that. we also had other cars run pb's now bring on jambo willowbank.

yeah Steve, hypo23, went well, came runner up overall in his class.

Broke out in the final by 2 hundredths of a second.... against the red dato (that had broken an axle) so dialed in at 16.99 and ran 17.0 ....

    So bloody close....

    well what an awesome day

as stewy and YGO 08 said i ended up making the final, was racing all day on an 11.80 dial in and ya went 11.78 on the brakes in the final, but thats racing.

YGO 08, mate I've just got to say all the boys involved with the schmik little red datto on saturday were an awesome bunch of guys, always friendly and talkative in the staging lanes, no attitudes, egos, or big heads, just a friendly bunch of blokes out enjoying their racing.

Its just a breath of fresh air to see and makes the day so much better. Hopefully the boys get the car going strong again soon, and we will see you boys up there for QLD jambo.

Hey whats the go with crowd attendance???
I've just been watching footage of some great runs from you guys and it all appears to have been done for around 150 spectators tops???

I sure hope there were more than that and the video just caught the wrong angles cos this would have been an awesome show!

yeah most people were sitting on the right side of the track and in most vids you couldnt see anyone. even being there i didnt think there was that many but there is so much room for spectaters that it looked like no one was there compared to willowbank. from what i heard it was one of the biggest for spectaters???
