Question CT26C - Tell me more?

    Hey guys

So thinking of buying a ct26C that apparently is larger (and rare) and can flow up to 20psi.

Where are these from? Can they really flow that much and are they rare? Guy is asking $500 for it , in used decent condition.

Are they ceramic or steel wheeled?

    any info much appreciated

    cheers

Probably referring to what is known better (albeit incorrectly) as a CT20B, which wont fit on your Supra and is not rare at all.

No, it exists, its just known better as a CT20B. Found on VVT 1JZ's and newer versions of the 3S-GTE (ST205 and newer, forget which revision). Not a direct bolt in replacement, nor as good as a high flow CT26.

why buy something like that when you can buy a direct replacement for less http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Su...item27b8fde1ed

stock ct26 will serve your power needs for now until long time...

it gets the car running so you can enjoy it and then you might actually have time to fix all the other issues then save money and buy a big turbo for it if thats what you wish to do in the end

Are the EBAY CT26's genuine or are the EBAY spec? I'm in the process of replacing a CT26 myself and wondering if these are worth while or whether I should look at an aftermarket equivalent?

i found the one linked and quite a few of them (if not all) are chinese copies. Even the one linked , while posted in Australia , is based in China.

I find it better to go for something like a Kinugawa ct-26 who dont claim to be genuine ct26's but are of decent build quality :

I personally couldn't fathom paying almost $800 for something that is the same as stock and Im going to replace with a t4 setup at the end of the year anyway, so I got this for $400 :

They offer a warranty which I can claim from their workshop in Sydney who is not far away from me. Seemed like the best bang for buck atm.

Will they honour your warranty once you swap the rear housing off your 7MGTE CT26 so it'll bolt up to your exhaust manifold?

    Edit: I'm assuing the 3S-GTE turbos aren't a direct fit to 7MGTEs.
