Unfortunately, I had to delete 2 of Blake's threads in the Classifieds because they contravened the rules.
I agree completely there's too many rules.
I had to write the damn things to try to cover ever little nuance that any anyone might think to come up to get around them, plus try to follow the guidelines & aim that we had after the mess that the last forum ended up, & there's still get the odd person that still wants to push the envelope & then they wonder why we get pissed off at them..., especially when their threads start to disappear or they cop neg rep.
The classifieds & non-car discussion were identified as having the biggest problems, & therefore need the biggest controls. Unfortunately, a few bad eggs ruin it for the rest.
If everyone behaved & did things properly, instead of always looking out for number one, then we'd all have a lot better time.
and that includes starting a new whinge post every damn time someone doesnt like whats going on...Originally Posted by wagonist

How many threads do we need to have about people whining.
People have been warned.
His rep was 94 before i neg repped him.
Please refrain from making silly statements and then threatening people, well knowing that you probably will receive neg rep.Originally Posted by IN 05 NT

common guys, this is a feedback section. People should be free to express their opinion on the management of the forum without being neg-repped.

The guys have put it well - it would be really nice not to have any rules, and simply say "play nice, everyhting in the appropriate section ,and don't abuse the forums or its members", but that doesn't work.
As a result, much like real life, many rules have to be created to inform people of what is appropriate conduct.
c'est la vie.
Hi,
And, as in real life, it's the few that spoil it for the vast majority and require the introduction (and enforcement) of such rules.Originally Posted by Draven
