I know this has probably been answered at least 1000 times, and i know it's a noob question, but do 2tg extractors fit on a 3tc?

Just wanna know before i posibly buy a set. I have no idea about these old engines, kinda before my time

Well I have 3T extractors on a 2TG - I'm pretty sure the exhaust flange is the same across the 2T/3T/2TG. she'll be right

port spacing is the same but you may run into different bolt sizes on the exhaust studs. When I swapped over my 2tc for a 3tc the studs on the 3tc were larger so I had to file out the holes in the extractor flange to get it to fit.

sweet, so get them, if the studs are bigger i have a drill, a die grinder, a dremel, a file set and if things get really bad a oxy set

just thought i would ask this before the same thing happened to me with the exhaust as did with the inlet, anyone want to swap a twin sidie manfold for a 3t for one for a 2tg, bloke said the 2tg one would fit, and it doesn't.

Exhaust ports and bolts are in the same location, the intake is a different story. The port spacing is the same for the intake but the bolt locations are different between the 2/3TC and the 2TG. You can either make up a adapter plate or get tabs welded onto the manifold so that you can redrill the bolt holes in the required spot. If you look at some of the member rides you can see the adaptor plates that were made to get the efi manifold to fit to a 3tc (link). EFI manifold but mostly the same bolting holes.

Yeah, but i know manifolds are available to suit, so i'll just bite the bullet and buy one if no one is in the opposite position to me. Problem is no one else is as dumb as me to beleive ebay sellers

Saw a twin DCOE manifold to suit 2T/3T with Solexes on gumtree just before:

Could ask them to split the manny & carbs if you don't need the sidedrafts.
