ALL Iridiums will say do not adjust gap.
The yellow ones you have are Copper I'd say.
Hey all
I just got the spark plugs i ordered from NGK for my 1G-GTE. The problem i have is as follows.
They are different!!! Yes they are both BCPR6EP-N-8 and yes they are both have NGK R written on them, but the cases and spark plugs look slightly different, that single silver one is one of the 4 in the big box.
Another thing that concerns me is the yellow box states "Adjust spark plug gap to engine makers' specifications.", the silver "Do not adgust spark plug gap due to possible damage to fine center electrode." I know that you are not meant to adjust these so the different instructions cocern me. The only difference is on the bolt head which has H76S on the yellow box and H52M on the others. Can someone shed some light, are they ok to all go into the same motor?
Thanks

no they look very similar, both look like the lead out of lead pencils. My guess is that a copper one would be a yellowy copper colour?

definately the top one, just not that long, but it does go to a thinner point

Is the number on the box the same?
How much did you pay each?
Copper ones are normally $3 ea, Plantinums are $15 each.

i got them through the local car shop, i went in on sat and ordered them, paid about $120 and they came in today so i went and picked them up.
Yes they both have BCPR6EP-N-8 on the box and printed on the spark plug itself

the gold ones are just the older batch, ngk went to a more silver color about 1 year ago.

if you have the top type then definetly dont try to adjust them. you can damage the electrode pretty easily
