Have you got the timing correct?
Hey guys,
I have finally got my 4AGE to idle at 1k.
Which I was happy about.
So took at for a drive tonight. Then run into another problem.
The engine feels like its having a fuel cut at around 4k. Very obvious at WOT.
What might cause such problem??
Have you got the timing correct?
I Think the timing is fine. Cos it only happens every now and then.
I tested the car again tonight and it happened at 2k.
Sometimes it would just rev straight to red line no problem..
what is your fuel pressure doing when that happens? are you using an aftermarket fuel regulator or anything? what pump are you using?

EVerything is stock standard.
I onlY have an exhaust and intake on the car.
Have you adjusted the tps? Check it to see if it is working correctly, there should be a 4age manual somewhere to show you how to do it. Another thing to check is the map sensor ensure that the vacuum hose is in good condition and runs to an appropriate place on the inlet manifold.
matty.
from memory I think you should get approx 1 volt out of the tps when the throttle is static. (i think)
