Gonna hit up the Matilda tomorrow. Forms in after I confirm my booking (pissup at the motel is a must for me). No motorkhana, but Drags? Hell yeah.

Word is that The Matilda is almost booked out, there was one room left today.......... good news is there is a motel just around the corner from the Matilda (so stumbling distance). Its called The Country Leisure Motor Inn ph: 6882 3988. Mention you are with The Toyota Nationals too.

I like the sound of that, last year was a little quiet at the Matilda and we got noise complaints for a very civil conversation out the front of our room at like 9pm. If we have the whole joint booked out it's going to be a big one

Civil behaviour be damned. Without flaming Sambucca shots and peeing off the top balcony in the back compound it wouldnt be the same event (from my 2007/2008 recollections)

Of course we'll see how many people drop out at the last minute, unfortunately it happens every year. Mostly due to things that simply can't be helped.....shit happens sometimes.

Still there's quite a few motels in close proximity to The Matilda, just jumped on google maps & went for a "netwalk" & found 4.

Talking about Sunday night fool when we had a quiet one sinking 12 beers & pizza at the Matilda as everyone was hungover from the RSL & Pub the night before. The 4/5 Days last year was awesome, so much more time to just chill how many more years before the moons align again haha.

question: whats stopping me from signing up and paying on the friday? I havent paid yet and kinda CBF with printing out that form and sorting online payment etc if I dont have to, can I just rock up and get it sorted on the friday?

Lol seriously Vito print the form sign and scan it and then email it back to them and do an online transfer takes all of 10 mins. They need to prep entry packs for everyone so you can sign on in the afternoon.

Vito, I'm a very civilised person, most of the time. But i hate rudeness, you see I'm a mum with 2 kids (who are coming, by the way), I work full time & I've managed to keep my modified car running well & looking pretty bloody amazing too. Now if I thought like you & CBF'd I'd just sit back & let some other person do the sponsorship rounds, organise trophies, catering for 3 days, make & take numerous phonecalls to DSCC, Matilda Motor Inn, Dubbo RSL, entrants, field questions on various forums, make up the entrant packs, lose sleep & sanity all for the love of giving ALL of you guys & girls a sensational event year after year after year & all for free, coz I sure don't get paid for it.
So you see Vito had you pm'd me and asked nicely I'd more than likely have said yes. But you've opened up the forum for me to tell you how it is. As Rona so nicely pointed out (thanks Rona ;-)) it'll take you all of 10 mins to send me your form & payment & if I CBF'd, I'll happily process it in the relative comfort of my home instead of the madness and hecticness of Nationals HQ on the Good Friday.
Cheers mate, nothing personal ok, but please understand you guys co-operating with getting your forms to me ASAP helps us run this event with relative ease.
