like i said, you have to mark and count both wheels together, otherwise the other wheel might turn slightly as well, or it could stay stationary and accelerate the revs of the wheel your counting. it's completely variable and completely inaccurate.

Ok the speedo head should be fine. Now is the gearbox itself the Supra style box or steelcase? If you do have 4:1 ratio diff and the speeds you have indicated it should be doing more speed but if the speedo cog in the box does not match to the diff gears then yes your speed readings will be up the stuff.
    cheers Brett.

its an alloy case supra box and im pretty sure the diff ratio comes in at 3.9:1. i will get a speed test done next week so i know whats going on when i get my licence back.

i dont know if this will help but i found this a while ago,

    http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html

if you are uncertain about the tyres it is also a good read for interests sake, if you scroll down about 3/5 of the page there is this really handy tyre calculator for determining the odometer change with tyre change, problem is it is in mph so you kinda need to convert that, either this is helpful or im wasting time, if so sry
