Hey, I'm wondering if anyone on here can tell me what's going on here.

This is in a 1jzgte/w58 MX83 that I bought a few months back.
I'm trying to work out what slave cylinder and fork this is.
The slave cylinder is leaking and I'm not sure what to replace it with.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
John

That tight bend is NFG & only luck has been letting it flow enough to engage the clutch quickly/properly without restricting engagement & burning up.
If you let up the pedal very quickly, does the pedal suddenly feel very firm, no freeplay, then slowly go back to normal after a few slow pumps? That's the sign of it being restricted.

Hmm, any idea which model hilux one you used??
I just moved the rubber boot on the fork back and had a peek inside, and sure enough it says "Dellow" on the side of the fork (+rep).
So would I be right to assume the bellhousing is a Dellow unit?? Here's some more pics.

I agree, I want to replace the slave with something that wont require that tight bend.
It seems to be working ok, engages quickly and so on. No sudden firmness, although it does have a constant HEAVY pedal. Old mate I bought it off said it has an "Exedy cush button clutch", I've never owned one before and assumed it was the cause of the heavy pedal..
Looks like any normal hilux/supra/celica/80's Toyota slave cylinder.
Just take it off and get it matched.
Also, the inlet/bleed are swapped on yours, possibly to clear the dump pipe. You can get a short male/female extension piece made in a hardline which will enable you to get rid of the bend and keep the rubber away from the dump pipe.
The clutch pedal will most likely be heavy due to the clutch, not the installation.

Thanks CrUZida, pointed me in exactly the right direction+rep. Never thought to do a search for celica ones. Did a search on good old ebay and found one exactly the same straight away, same markings on the side and all. Also found one with the inlet/outlet pointing straight up which will be perfect!
Couldn't take it off and get it matched, it's my daily, need it on the road to get to work.
Just noticed the mounting legs are in a different position so I wont need them spacers either.
Problem solved.
Thanks for the help guys.
also the bellhousing looks typical of a dellows item... ie. no inspection openings and a tiny hole for the clutch fork to fit through...
my bellhousing has been cut with an air saw around the shifter fork hole to allow adjustment of the pivot ball... which could also cause you issues if the pivot ball and pushrod in the slave cyl are not 100% correct
