Use the factory ae92 wiring for everything but the clutch trigger wire for the compressor.... 1 wire to concern yourself with.
Hi Everyone....
I hope this is answered quickly and i am just being stupid, and the answer was staring me right in the face all along.
We've used a Complete AE101 20v Loom on the install of this engine to my AE92.... , made a patch loom up to get the engine running, and its such a sweet little motor, everything runs and it makes great power.
I do want to run the Air Conditioning though.... So it gets a little messier.
In the AE92/93 the AC Compressor just runs all the 5 wires from the compressor straight to the Body Connector (orange) in behind the centre console at/near the engine ECU. But this is different to the 20v Setup... as far as we can tell... there are 4 wires which make it to the Body Connector, but there are another 2 wires i am trying to map out...
I was hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on the matter, or if anyone has Body pinouts for this plug on both the AE101 and the AE93 side... that would be even better.
Also i would like to know what all the 6 wires on the AE101 AC compressor actually do???? just for peice of mind so that if something was to go screwy i can try and work it out.
thanks in advance....
Andrew

Ok... I guess the issue is that I have removed the ae92 wiring loom. I understand the 1 wire for the idle up, but I need to make the 20v compressor wiring work in the ae92 body. So a diagram or a pinout sheet... Should help dramatically.
1 wire for the compressor on / off too... which is from the 20v loom to the ae92 body
black/white wire
ahhhh..... i think i remember this old gag.
you need to find the compressor clutch wire from the AE93 fuse box, and patch that into the 20V loom.
it all depends on exactly how you patched the 20V loom into your AE93 though.
Typically i just trace out all wires for each individual system, so that i completely understand the 20V system, and the AE93 system.
Then it just works itself out.
...... butt scratcher?!
ummm no...
Its the one in the connector that goes inside the cabin under the center console... if my notes are correct it lives next to the temperature gauge
And to the OP what do you mean you made up a patch loom? I usually just depin the plugs off the ae92 loom and repin on the ae101 loom so it is plug and pray
We used a WHOLE AE101 20v Loom, and Depinned the Body plug and re pinned the Engine Vitals up to the AE92 Body.
We made a small Patch loom up so that i can run power to the starter... Just WHT, BLK/RED, BLK/ORG, BLK/WHT wires....
So i havent retained ANY of the AE92 body electrics from the engine loom.
Witzl... there is a Blue/Yellow Wire which heads up to the FuseBox from the AC. Compressor.. could this be what you're thinking of?
Colours Left over are...
RED/WHT
BRN
RED/BLU
YEL/BLK
BLK/WHT
need some help Gurus!!
But i could work it all out myself if ANYONE had the Wiring diagrams/Pinouts for the Body Harness's and electrics for the AE101 and AE92
god u did it the hard way
prob looks all messy
the ac comp wire is black/white
it goes from under dash then to the compressor
and also to fusebox front left of engine bay
now the 20v has simialr wires and some spare so which ever ones u use just make sur eu have a wire that goes from dash to fusebox and also to compressor
theres also 2 wires for speed sensor
ae82 dont have this
ae92 do
blue red is for condensor fan motor...
Its all actually very neat... the slightly messy part is in the foot well... but its getting there.
if u used all ae92 and just the bare 20v engine harness then it makes things easy
so did u use the ae92 fusebox in the enigne bay
there a 2 pin plug coming off the bottom of it with black/white wire thats a/c wire
also u need to hook up the pressure switch or fan will stay on
yes the AE92 Fusebox...
I'll have a hunt for the wire your talking about.
its not hard if youve done a hundred or so hehee
just a pain if its yr first one
otherwise find the a/c amplifier and find the black/whtie wire
and do like most run a wire thru hole in firewall direct to ac compresor
im not sure if the ac will work if u dont also hook up the other 2 speed sensor wires
on the ae92 theres 4 wires on the grey or black plug under the dash that need to be hooked up for ac to work
ive never tested the ac without the other 3 wires
i dont remember.... its been like 6 years since i last wired up a 20V.
I just remember having to hunt for the compressor wire around the AE92 fusebox in each one i wired up (i did around 4 or so).
...... butt scratcher?!
i'll happily be corrected if doing it wrong, but the ones i've done have done the a/c has worked.
