Default Distributor conversion for 2M engine

    Hello everyone,

I have heard from some people that it is possible to use a 5M or 7M distributor on a 2M engine... is it true? Is it a direct bolt-on conversion? What other parts are needed, and how about the wiring connections?

The original distributor of my MS55's 2M is already kinda shot, the timing is still too advanced (way beyond the timing marks!) even though the distributor is already rotated fully clockwise, and the breaker plate is already wobbling excessively... thus I am considering to convert to a newer-model distributor if it is possible.

Thank you very much in advance for your responses!

You need a 5ME dizzy and the ignitor box.If you do find one make sure the dizzy has the the plate that bolts to the block.
    Cheers Brett.
