    Default Injector Heat Soak, possible?

4A-GTE smallport with TD04H turbo and Megasquirt using GZE slugs.. Ran fine with 250cc/min stock injectors.. Replaced injectors with high impedance RX7's 460cc/min since not sure if stock injectors would be enough for 0.8 Bar. Had to change the plugs as well. On cold starts, it ran well until reaches optimum engine temp. Once running temp reached, engine limped occasionally both on idle and running. AFR also fluctuates heavily from 14 until crazy lean 19-20ish, which i believe is a sign of injector(s) failing to spray fuel.

    1. Is it possible for injector to suffer from heat soak? I mean once it got heated, it became sticky or unresponsive.

    2. If yes, any way to solve it? Doubt if cleaning would fix it but am willing to try any logical suggestion.

    3. Will stock injector hold fine for 0.8 Bar? Considering of using the stocks again if there's no remedy for the RX7 injectors.

never heard of normal and overheating "heat" being an issue for injectors, not to say there isnt, just havent come across it.
did you ever flow check the injectors before fitting them ?

id say the 250's would struggle, id run the 4agze 365cc if you could. the rx7 injectors should be fine, im running them at 60psi pressure at full boost. the rx7 injector doesnt have a great spray pattern down low. if you can, you can also run the 7mgte 440cc injectors.

ask ya tuner what the MS timing was on the 250cc injectors when tuned last with them.

and check fuel flow and pressures when cold and hot.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.

I will try replacing the injectors with the stock ones again. This way i can be sure whether it's fuel flow/pressure/pump problem.. I will also check the injector flow this time. Will update you on the result.
Anyway, i'm using a BOSCH external fuel pump that based on the spec sheet, it flows 130-200 lph capable of making 500 kPa of pressure which is around 72 psi.
Taking a pessimistic figure of 150 lph flow rate, can somebody confirm if my conclusion is correct:

    150 liter/hour = 150000 cc/hour = 2500 cc/min

With 4 injectors@460cc/min, that means my maximum fuel flow would be 4 x 460 = 1840cc/min which is smaller than 2500cc/min. If there's nothing wrong with my pump, can i say that my pump is good enough for these injectors? Meaning i don't have to get a higher flowing pump?
