SW20 afm problem help!

hey guys, recently just bought a 1991 MR2 3SGTE, and having some trouble getting it on the road.

The car will fire and start easy but idles really rough and runs super rich, then after about 5 seconds the check engine light will come on and the engine will die. I did the diagnostic and got coes 34 and 35, turbo pressure sensor.

I just put a another tps in it from a GT4 thinking the sensor was faulty but it has made no difference so thinking maybe it is something to do with the AFM??? previous owners have installed a BOV and turbo timer, besides that it is stock. Any ideas???

and does anyone know where i can get a AFM???

All gate AFM's die at some stage, be glad its ND not Bosch. Take it to Petroject Moorabbin 15/42-44 Garden Blvd, VIC 3172 (03) 9551 6222 ‎in Dingly Village. $275 (in 2007) for a rebuild. Don't buy a used one, it'll more than likely be dead or dying.

If it's telling you turbo pressure sensor then perhaps its the tvis, I dunno, better answered by someone who's more up to date with the car. If you're still unsure the AFM is worth doing as I said they all die eventually and it will only improve running.

Also i figured i would look at the ECU while i was going and found 2 wires that are showing bare copper and are nearly broken through on the loom going into the ECU, would that have something to do with it?? and anyone know to go about repairing them?
