uh oh, here comes another drags vs drift debate

drags are easy, you just build a car with bulk power, put your foot down and go. anybody can do it, it proves nothing.

drifting on the other hand is skilful and involved. First you have to own a collection of soft toys, suitable for destruction by battering while hanging off your rear tow-hook. Then you have to throw away your washing machine, and never replace your clothes....... preferably don't eat anything that's not provided over a counter wrapped in paper or a box either....... Then you have to build a car to an "almost good" standard, and using as many 2nd hand parts selected from your own backyard as possible, generally with the assistance of many other grubby mates. Then collect several sets of used rims and tyres to practice on public roads. Gutter rash is their calling card, and a visible right-of-passage into the foray of sideways, backwards, and generally anything except straight lines. Mechanical unreliability, and side of the road repairs are key in appearing to “fit in” with the rest of the crew.

You can see why Supra owners don’t fit in. Not a single pair of Prada sunglasses, no hair product, and definitely no polished surfaces or leather seats

What holds them both together though, is that both schools of thought lead to burnouts, uniting all.

See? Drifting wins. Even in the rain, you could have just gone out to a back road and cut-sick in your sidewayz beater, and as a bonus, get a free shower and carwash at the same time
