Default Removing / Replacing Lenses on Turn Signal Assemblies

I've busted the locator tang on my AE111 Trueno Turn signal. I have a spare but it's from a Levin (i.e. the plastic is chrome plated instead of black.)

I want to remove outer lense on Levin unit, paint housing black & re-attach lense.

How do you do this? Do you just re-seal with clear silicon or do you need a special sealant or gasket?

(I noticed in ToyoDIY that you can buy lenses separately but can't see a part # for gasket or sealant).

    Cheers; GS

Heat gently in the oven at lowest temp, separate the housing and when you want to stick it back together, heat up the goop and just squish it back together.

Works for me with headlights so far and no leaks yet.

Thanks Terra; I'll give this a try < needless to say; on the busted unit first. . . >
